Finishing

The set of preparation, dyeing, printing and finishing operations to which the yarn is subjected to improve its functional and aesthetic properties. In the yarn dyeing sector, finishing includes all post-dyeing treatments such as the application of finishing auxiliaries (softeners, anti-felting agents, etc.) that give the yarn the specific characteristics required by the customer. The term encompasses the entire cycle of transforming greige yarn into a finished product.
