Waxing cone winding
Waxing cone winding
A type of cone winding in which wax is applied to the yarn during winding onto cones, to give the right slip during subsequent processing such as flat and circular knitting. Waxing reduces the friction coefficient of the yarn, preventing breakages and defects during weaving or knitting. It is particularly suitable for articles intended for knitwear.
